HOW THE TWO-CLINIC MODEL WORKS

A simpler way to organise complex dental treatment

You do not automatically have to travel for every appointment. Your treatment plan determines which stages are best completed in London and which are better suited to Budapest.

01

Meet us in London

Begin with an examination and treatment discussion. A panoramic X-ray can be taken in London when required, so the team can assess the starting point and explain your options.

02

Build the treatment plan

The plan sets out each stage, location and cost. Straightforward planned treatment can often be carried out in London, while extensive implant, restorative and laboratory-led work is commonly organised in Budapest.

03

Return care close to home

After Budapest treatment, planned checks, annual reviews and many aftercare appointments can be handled through the London clinic, reducing unnecessary return travel.

WHICH CLINIC DOES WHAT?

SMILE SAVERS LONDON

Your central London starting point — and your UK base afterwards

Our Gray's Inn Road clinic makes it possible to meet the team, discuss your goals and understand a proposed treatment plan before deciding whether any part of your dentistry should be completed in Budapest.

01

Consultations

Meet an experienced dentist, discuss your priorities and receive a structured recommendation before committing to treatment.

02

Panoramic imaging

An OPG can be taken at the clinic when required. More detailed CT imaging can be arranged through an external CT provider.

03

Planned treatment

The London clinic can provide selected implant, restorative and maintenance appointments according to the agreed treatment plan.

04

Aftercare

Annual checks and many planned follow-up appointments can be handled in London after treatment has been completed.

London operates by scheduled appointment and is not an emergency dental service.

IMPLANTCENTER BUDAPEST

A large multi-floor centre built around complex dentistry

The Budapest centre brings surgical, restorative and technical teams together under one roof. That is especially useful when a treatment programme requires several clinical stages, laboratory input and adjustments within the same visit.

01

Six-floor centre

Multiple treatment and surgical areas allow different parts of complex treatment to be coordinated within one centre.

02

Onsite imaging

Panoramic and CT imaging are available at the Budapest clinic for surgical planning when required.

03

Surgical focus

Implants, bone grafting, sinus lifts, extractions and full-arch cases form a major part of the clinic's work.

04

Onsite laboratory

Dental technicians work in the same centre, allowing restorations and temporaries to be adjusted during a Budapest treatment visit.

WHY THE ONSITE LAB MATTERS

The clinician and technician can work as one team

For larger restorative and implant cases, the final result is not only about implant placement. Fit, bite, tooth shape, colour and the relationship between the teeth and gums all need to be refined.

Faster adjustmentsChanges can be communicated directly during the treatment visit.
Try-ins before completionWhere the treatment sequence requires it, fit and appearance can be assessed before final completion.
Useful for complex casesFull-arch bridges and larger restorative cases benefit from close clinician-technician coordination.

PLANNING A BUDAPEST VISIT

You receive a schedule built around your treatment stages

The exact length and number of visits depend on the dentistry involved. Implant treatment usually includes a healing period between surgical and restorative stages, while extensive restorative work may need several appointments within one Budapest visit.

✈

Travel around confirmed appointments

We ask for arrival and departure details once the clinical schedule is pencilled in so treatment and transfers can be coordinated around your trip.

⌂

Accommodation choices

Patients can arrange their own hotel or, subject to availability, use Implantcenter apartments in the same building. The onsite apartments have a minimum three-night stay.

↔

London remains part of the journey

Once treatment is complete, planned aftercare and annual check-ups can usually be arranged through the London clinic rather than requiring routine return trips to Budapest.

CLINIC FAQ

Practical questions before you choose where to be treated

The answer is often “it depends on the treatment plan”, which is why we recommend starting with an assessment rather than choosing a location purely from a price list.

Do I have to travel to Budapest for dental treatment?

No. London offers consultations, planned treatment and aftercare. Budapest becomes particularly useful for extensive implant, surgical or laboratory-led treatment where several stages can be coordinated in one centre. Your treatment plan will state the recommended location for each stage.

Can implant treatment be carried out in London?

Yes, implant treatment can be planned in London. Whether London or Budapest is more suitable depends on the number of implants, additional surgery, restorative work, timetable and overall treatment programme.

Can the London clinic take X-rays?

Yes. Panoramic OPG imaging is available in London. If detailed CT/CBCT imaging is needed, it is normally arranged through an external CT provider. Budapest has panoramic and CT imaging onsite.

Can I use London for aftercare after Budapest treatment?

Yes. The London clinic is an important part of the aftercare pathway and can provide planned reviews, annual check-ups and many maintenance appointments following Budapest treatment.

Is the London clinic an emergency dentist?

No. The London clinic works to a scheduled appointment diary and is not an emergency dental service. If you have acute symptoms requiring urgent treatment, you should use an appropriate local emergency dental service.

How many days will I need in Budapest?

It varies considerably. Your coordinator provides a visit length once the clinical stages are known. Complex restorative and full-mouth work generally needs several appointments during the visit, while implant surgery may be followed by a healing period before the next stage.

Does Budapest have technicians onsite?

Yes. The Budapest centre has onsite dental laboratory facilities, allowing clinicians and technicians to coordinate restorations, try-ins and adjustments during treatment visits.

Can I stay at the clinic in Budapest?

There are Implantcenter apartments in the same building, subject to availability, with a minimum three-night stay. Patients are also free to choose their own hotel or apartment elsewhere in Budapest.
