Initially there wasn't a huge flurry of press activity but I guess that's because we get a lot of business through recommendations and word of mouth (so to speak). Recently though, with the new NHS contracts now in force in the UK and with more and more people making the trip to Budapest, we have had quite a bit of interest shown us by the media.
Still it's always a pleasant surprise for us to see our company's name in print, (or these days on TV!). A big thank you to all the journalists who took the time to write about us.

08/04/2008 - Health writer Sally Brown tells of her experience at our clinic in Budapest for Eve Magazine. Sally was quoted £20,000 in London so contacted us where she got just what she wanted - a great looking natural smile for just £2500. Note: The editor managed to change the sex of Dr Juhasz in the article from she to he - a small typo but we thought we should point it out!!

On 09/04/2007 our client hit the front page in The Sentinel. The story reports Louise Webb's journey to get treatment in Budapest after she was denied the treatment she wanted on the NHS. Louise was absolutely delighted with the results, which can clearly be seen in the photographs, and managed to reduce her dental bill down from the UK quoted £60,000 to a much more reasonable £12,000. The treatment has clearly changed her life. Louise is now more out-going, has more confidence and feels 15 years younger!.

On 09/05/2006 the Daily Mail ran this piece, entitled 'A Patients Guide to Health Tourism', based on a recent book written by David Hancock, covering the options people have when choosing to go abroad for treatment. The heading reads 'No Waiting Lists. Spotless Hospitals. Brilliant after-care. Why more and more Britons are choosing surgery abroad'. Hungary came out top as the place to go for high quality low cost treatment and they very kindly included us as a recommended operator though tragically listed a disconnected phone number. Fortunately they got our web site address right! As a side note we should point out that the usual time for the first phase of implant surgery can be completed in just 3 days and not 12 as stated in the article. Read more here

With a real stir in the media over the NHS reforms on 01/04/2006, the day the new NHS dentists contracts came in to force, Angus Watson of the Financial Times ran a great piece in the weekend edition titled 'How To Cope With Dental Care Reform'. The people at the FT seem to know a thing or two about how best to treat money so we were delighted to be included in the short-list.

On 22/03/2006 we hit Page 4 of the Daily Express going national with the Yorkshire Post's article of Nicola Lewin who will have saved between £20,000 and £30,000 when she finally completes her treatment at one of our clinics in Budapest, the Implant and Aesthetic Center. Nicola, despite always being very fastidious about dental hygiene, contracted serious gum disease and was told her only option was to have all her teeth replaced by dentures. Like so many she was not prepared to wear dentures at her age and was quoted in the UK up to £50,000 for the implant work necessary to avoid this. Nicola contacted Smile Savers and we were more than happy to book her in to the renowned Implant Center in Budapest. Nicola loved the picture and has become quite the local celebrity having also been interviewed live on BBC Radio Sheffield. (Windows Media Player Required)

We made front page with this great article on 21/03/2006 about one of our clients, Nicola Lewin who saved between £20,000 and £30,000 visiting one of our clinics, the Implant and Aesthetic Center. Nicola, from Sheffield, was delighted with the treatment she received and also with the article which created quite a stir in her hometown. So much so that she went on to be interviewed live by Antonia Brickell on BBC Radio Sheffield the following morning.
Amy Williams from the Evening Standard used our services to arrange a weekend in Budapest with teeth whitening at the Implant Center. She wrote 2 articles. This is the second, released on 11/01/2006. Please note that Amy states in the article that we provided a package including flights. This is a small error on her part as we assist in the booking of flights and can recommend the best options.
