A great introduction to Hangarian cuisine with retro decor and a large outside seating area makes Menza a firm favourite

MenzaOne block away from the Octogon on the famous Andrássy Utca you’ll find a pleasant promenade of restaurant and bars which in Summer spill out onto the walking street. Amongst these is Menza, a modern Hungarian restaurant (vendeglo) serving traditional fare with flare. The staff are polite and efficient to extremes our only quibble being when it gets busy (which it often does at weekends) they become understandably less attentive. That aside, a better introduction to Hungarian cuisine we’ve yet to find and in a great location.
