Dental Implant Abutments
There are many types of dental implant abutments and their selection can radically alter the final result especially where the restoration is at the front. Like dental crown bases they come in many materials including metal and now the ultra realistic and tough space age material zirconia.
Used to transfer the load from the dental implant to the crown , dental implant abutments are at the core of this high-tech restoration
Essential to a dental implant restoration, dental implant abutments make possible even the most challenging dental restoration
hown here (greatly enlarged) are the three pieces that make up a full dental implant restoration.
The Crown
Here seen from the side, this is a front lateral incisor.
The Abutment
The post, which is the upper portion of the abutment, will in this case have the crown cemented onto it after the lower section is attached to the implant below. Notice the curved horizontal line which is designed to fit the lower curve of the crown. None of the abutment will be visible once the crown is fitted onto it.
The Dental Implant
None of the implant is visible once the abutment and crown have been fitted.

“I am absolutely delighted with the results and can't stop smiling! My dentist here said he thought the materials and the workmanship were of a very high standard.”
...I had no doubts or worries about the treatment process or trip. I was given information on aftercare, do's and don'ts. I was also given a guarantee of 2 years on the fillings and 3 years on the crowns, something I had never been given from a UK dentist
