In tests conducted by the makers of Branemark implants recently they found that there was considerably less build up of plaque on Zirconia than on titanium, the biocompatible material used for implants, and even more so than on actual teeth….

With zirconia based crowns there is no discolouration and because of the computer aided manufacturing process the crown fits the tooth perfectly meaning no bacteria can get underneath so undermining the supporting tooth….
